Lauralee has hiked over 10,000 career miles in multiple states and seasons. She completed the Appalachian Trail both north and south along with the Florida Trail, the trails in Shenandoah National Park, the Foothills Trail twice, the Long Trail, the Allegheny Trail, the Colorado Trail, and the Benton MacKaye Trail. She served six years as the ridgerunner working along the AT in Maryland and in Shenandoah National Park. The list of speaking credentials includes Scout groups, school groups, library events (over 45!), REI stores, PATC, ATC, ALDHA, and the National Park Service. She is the author of Mountains, Madness, and Miracles – 4000 Miles Along the Appalachian Trail and Gators, Guts to Glory – Adventures on the Florida Trail

Having hiked thousands of miles in low and high altitude, from the Appalachian Trail to Colorado, Florida, and many more, Lauralee brings a wealth of information and adventure programs to libraries in multiple states, outdoor groups, outfitters, women’s groups, school groups, Scouting groups, church groups, etc. Motivating presentations include PowerPoint presentations, sample backpacking gear, and an information station. Lauralee also conducts half or all-day workshops to get down to the nitty-gritty of backpacking and thru-hiking, including media and hands-on demonstrations.
